Jim Kowalski, formerly an enterprise organization lead at Marketo, has joined converged data platform provider MapR Technologies Inc. as chief revenue officer.
MapR said Nov. 16 that he will be responsible for the company’s global go-to-market team that includes sales and sales engineering functions.
“Jim’s focus is on accelerating our top-line revenue and ability to execute, while continuing to scale our go-to-market capabilities,” said Matt Mills, CEO of MapR Technologies.
Kowalski previously held senior sales leadership roles at Oracle, with a focus on the software developer’s technology and applications divisions.
He also served as chief marketing officer of SmartSignal, an internet of things provider that is now part of GE.
